About Our Lead Programs
The City of Battle Creek works with local partners to implement lead programs throughout Calhoun County. The Lead Safe Program (LSP) is a lead-abatement grant funded by Michigan's Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) administered in partnership with the Community Action Agency of South Central Michigan (CAASCM). The Lead Hazard Control Program is funded by the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and is administered in partnership with CAASCM.
