Union St. in Battle Creek. With extensive education, a large clean facility, and a passion for animals, you can be sure that the CCAC takes exceptional care of their adored animal friends. Take a walk with a shelter pup!

You can enjoy Battle Creek’s beautiful parks and trails and help out a shelter dog — just by going for a walk. CCAC offers a chance to check out a dog for an afternoon adventure. It’s a simple way to give a dog some love, get fresh air, and maybe even help them find their forever home.

The shelter is located right along the Linear Path and North Country Trail, making it the perfect starting point for a scenic stroll with a furry friend.

  • Bring a photo ID and fill out a volunteer form
  • Walks available Mon.-Thurs., 11 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
