1. What is Start Smart Basketball?

Start Smart Basketball is a parent/child participation course that teaches the basic fundamentals of basketball. Each session is divided into smaller stations to work on separate skills and drills.

2. What are the program options for basketball?

The department has a Start Smart class for youth ages 3-6 which takes place during November-December. Another option is Cereal City Hoopsters ran at Claude Evans Park during the summer.

3. What equipment will my child need?

All the equipment is provided for the program. Your child will need to wear comfortable clothes and tennis shoes.
