BATTLE CREEK, Mich. – On Friday, January 2, shortly before 9 p.m., a 17-year-old Battle Creek resident was struck by a westbound train near the intersection of Bedford Road and Harmonia Road. The individual was pronounced deceased at the scene as a result of injuries sustained.
The Battle Creek Police Department is working in coordination with railroad police to conduct a thorough investigation. Assisting agencies included the Battle Creek Fire Department, LifeCare Ambulance, and the Medical Examiner’s Office.
