BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — The City of Battle Creek would like to share a friendly reminder with our neighbors of upcoming holiday service changes, throughout the remainder of 2024, so you can plan ahead for any city-related business during the holiday season!
Tuesday, Dec. 17
- City Hall will be closed Tuesday, Dec. 17, from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., for an employee holiday celebration. Neighbors can still visit us during our business hours of 8-11 a.m. and 1-5 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 17.
Tuesday, Dec. 24
- All City of Battle Creek administrative offices will be closed Tuesday, Dec. 24, in observance of the Christmas Eve holiday. City offices will resume regular business hours, of 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 26.
- Battle Creek Transit’s administrative office will be closed Tuesday, Dec. 24. BCT bus, Tele-Transit, and BCGo services will operate Tuesday, Dec. 24.
- Full Blast will be closed Tuesday, Dec. 24. Regular hours resume Thursday, Dec. 26.
- Republic Services will be open Tuesday, Dec. 24, and will complete Tuesday pickups. Republic Services will also be starting their collections one hour early Tuesday, Dec. 24, due to the landfill closing early.
Wednesday, Dec. 25
- All City of Battle Creek administrative offices will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 25, in observance of the Christmas Day holiday. City offices will resume regular business hours, of 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 26.
- Battle Creek Transit’s administrative office will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 25. BCT bus, Tele-Transit, and BCGo services will not operate Wednesday, Dec. 25. Regular schedules resume Thursday, Dec. 26.
- Full Blast will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 25. Regular hours resume Thursday, Dec. 26.
- Republic Services will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 25, so Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday pickups will be delayed by one day this week.
Tuesday, Dec. 31
- All City of Battle Creek administrative offices will be open Tuesday, Dec. 31.
- Battle Creek Transit’s administrative office will be open Tuesday, Dec. 31. BCT bus, Tele-Transit, and BCGo services will operate Tuesday, Dec. 31.
- Full Blast will close early at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 31. Regular hours resume Thursday, Jan. 2.
- Republic Services will be open Tuesday, Dec. 31, and will complete Tuesday pickups. Republic Services will also be starting their collections one hour early Tuesday, Dec. 31, due to the landfill closing early.
Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2025

- Battle Creek Transit’s administrative office will be closed Wednesday, Jan. 1. BCT bus, Tele-Transit, and BCGo services will not operate Wednesday, Jan. 1. Regular schedules resume Thursday, Jan. 2.
- Full Blast will be closed Wednesday, Jan. 1. Regular hours resume Thursday, Jan. 2.
- Republic Services will be closed Wednesday, Jan. 1, so Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday pickups will be delayed by one day this week.
