A 72-acre living museum with more than 3,000 species of trees that date as far back
as the 1920s, the Leila Arboretum is the perfect place to enjoy nature or plan your
family or organization's event. Take a bike trip on the Linear Path that runs through
the Arboretum and enjoy the spring displays of bulbs, or stroll through the grounds
in the summer and relax under the shade of many trees. As the fall season approaches,
stop in and view the changing color of the trees. In the winter, you can enjoy the
snowy landscape for a wonderful time sledding.
The Arboretum is open year-round during
daylight hours and offers a variety of activities year-round. Admission is free, but
donors, membership, and volunteers to the Leila Arboretum Society are important for
the stewardship of this beautiful resource. Events at the Children’s Garden are held between 11 am – 2pm.
Leila Arboretum Society also has a 1-acre handicap accessible Children's Garden. There are events held throughout the summer. You can also book guided educational tours for groups. For more information, please call (269)969-0270 ext. 120.
