Neighborhood Parks

The city’s Neighborhood Parks serve as the recreational and social focus of their surrounding neighborhoods. Generally designed with a focus on informal active and passive recreation that serves neighborhood recreation needs, neighborhood parks provide for recreational activities such as field games, court games, and picnicking and playground areas. Many neighborhood parks may also contain athletic fields that are used by community athletic organizations, thus serving the community as a whole.

Neighborhood Parks in the City of Battle Creek range between 2 and 20 acres and serve an area within a quarter to a half mile radius uninterrupted by major roads or other barriers.
